Heritage

Warren post office was established on February 19, 1885. James Gill named the place for his old stomping grounds, Warren, Massachusetts. In 1888, the post office was discontinued, and when it was reestablished two years later it was named Gillton, for Gill. In July, 1895, Gillton, Columbia County, was changed to Warren.

Getting Here

Scappoose Bay Marine Park is located four miles north of Scappoose, just off of Highway 30. Warren is a 30-minute drive from downtown Portland.
