Since 2004, Houlton Bakery has been pleasing customers with their sweet and savory goodies just one block off Hwy 30 on Columbia Blvd. in St. Helens. People with special diets won’t be disappointed either. The owner, Gainor Riker, puts extra attention into appealing to a variety of special diets with her handcrafted breads, pastries and superb lunch items including yummy sandwiches, salads and soups. Additional parking can be found in the back of the bakery which also is handicapped accessible. On a warm day one can enjoy additional tables in the breezeway between the bakery and the St.

Another fine bakery in town is Damma’s Pastry Shop. Damma’s which specializes in cinnamon rolls and sticky buns, offers a daily soup and bread lunch special at a reasonable price. The highway location makes it a perfect spot to stop and pick up a special order fruit or cream pie. Customers may find a cheesecake or chocolate éclair calling them from the bakery case as well. Plus, everything is half price the last hour each Saturday!
