Well over a million salmon and steelhead enter the Columbia River to journey upstream to their natal rivers, annually. Sturgeon, a prehistoric fish reaching lengths of 10 feet, also inhabit the Columbia River.

Vernonia Lake
ADA accessible docks, restrooms, concessions, paved 1 mile trail around entire lake that connects to Banks Vernonia State Park trail via Webb Way. Wildlife viewing. Great for picture taking. ODFW stocked March through May. Remnants of old Oregon American mill site. Come rollerblade, walk, or job the path. Picnic tables and benches. Primitive camping.
